Emotional Resonance in Picture Books

with Eileen Robinson

"If there's no emotion, there's no book."

- Eileen Robinson

Beloved children's editor Eileen Robinson reveals how to pack an emotional punch in this special two-part webinar series: POUR YOUR HEART OUT: EMOTION IN THE PAGES OF PICTURE BOOKS. Even more important, picture books should have layers and movement in the emotion. In this webinar, Eileen will share some picture books with heart, give you some writing exercises to draw your own emotions forward, and leave you with homework to do between the first and second sessions.

This two-part session includes 2.5 hours of video, transcripts, downloadable audio tracks, and downloadable exercises. Plus, you get lifetime access to come back and do these exercises for each new manuscript. This is definitely one you'll want to visit again and again.

If your book is missing that extra layer or isn't resonating with readers, Eileen is here to help you find the missing piece.

"This was so so helpful -- thank you, Eileen, Julie, and Kelli! The exercises and homework were fantastic. Can't wait to fix several manuscripts... 😎"

"This was so eye-opening. Thank you! I used a manuscript with a lot of emotional content but realized the emotion isn’t really in the story. I think I was holding back too much. This has made a huge difference."
